Curriculum

SCOPE and SEQUENCE

At SFCA, we are committed to providing a strong academic and spiritual foundation for our youngest learners. That’s why we proudly use the Abeka curriculum for our K3 through 2nd-grade classrooms. Abeka provides a comprehensive, biblically-based approach to education that instills a love of learning and helps children develop essential skills. With a strong emphasis on phonics, our students are systematically trained to become confident readers, a skill that is reinforced across all subjects. The curriculum also integrates Bible stories and Christian principles, helping to shape moral character and a biblical worldview from an early age.

The Abeka curriculum is designed to be both engaging and effective, using a traditional and research-based method. Our teachers utilize a variety of resources, including colorful textbooks, hands-on activities, and purposeful repetition, to ensure concepts are thoroughly understood and retained. This spiral learning approach builds on prior knowledge, allowing students to progress with confidence. From learning numbers and basic arithmetic to developing fine motor skills and exploring the world around them, the Abeka curriculum provides a solid educational framework that prepares our students for success in the classroom and in life.

At SFCA, we are dedicated to fostering a spirit of independent learning and academic excellence as our students mature. For our 3rd through 8th-grade students, we have chosen the A.C.E. (Accelerated Christian Education) School of Tomorrow curriculum. This self-paced, individualized program allows each student to progress at their own speed, mastering one concept before moving on to the next. The curriculum is built around "PACEs" (Packets of Accelerated Christian Education), which are engaging workbooks that guide students through their subjects. This unique methodology helps students develop discipline, responsibility, and strong study habits that will serve them throughout their academic careers.

The A.C.E. curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive, biblically-based education that addresses the whole child. Each PACE not only covers core academic subjects like mathematics, language arts, and science, but also integrates character-building lessons and Scripture. Our certified supervisors are on hand to provide personalized support, encouragement, and motivation, ensuring that each student receives the guidance they need to succeed. By utilizing the A.C.E. system, we empower our students to take ownership of their education, cultivate a deeper relationship with God, and become well-rounded individuals prepared for the challenges of high school and beyond.
