Standing on the Solid Rock: The Faith That Guides Our School
At Solid Foundations Christian Academy (SFCA), our commitment to providing a Christ-centered education is built upon a firm and unwavering foundation—the Statements of Faith shared with our parent ministry, Solid Rock Pentecostal Church of God of Y-City, Arkansas. These core beliefs are not just a set of rules; they are the bedrock upon which our entire school community stands, guiding our curriculum, our conduct, and our every interaction.
Our Fundamental Truths affirm the eternal existence of one God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We hold fast to the truth that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life and died a substitutionary death for our sins. His bodily resurrection and ascension to heaven offer the hope of salvation, which is freely given to all who put their faith in Him. This belief in the redeeming power of Christ's blood is at the heart of our mission, shaping our desire to help students not only grow in knowledge but also in their personal relationship with their Lord and Savior.
Our faith also provides clear guidance on matters of Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality. We believe that God's design for humanity is beautifully reflected in the creation of two distinct, complementary genders—male and female—and that marriage is a sacred union exclusively between one man and one woman. We teach that all sexual intimacy is intended by God to be reserved for this holy union. While we hold these biblical truths firmly, we are also committed to demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ to everyone. Our commitment to showing kindness, respect, and dignity is paramount, and we will not tolerate any form of hateful or harassing behavior. We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who seek His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ, and we are called to be a place of grace and hope.
The Statement on Gender Identity further clarifies our commitment to God's created order, asserting that participation in single-sex programs and access to corresponding facilities are reserved for individuals of that biological sex. Our Statement on Life reflects our deep respect for the sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death. We are called to defend, protect, and value every person as a unique and precious creation of God.
Finally, the Statement on Biblical Authority is the cornerstone of all our beliefs. We affirm that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God—our ultimate and only source of truth, morality, and proper conduct. The Church Board of Solid Rock PCG serves as the final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application for our school's faith, doctrine, and practices.
